In the summer of 2009 Village Sound Company began installing what would become Carroll Community College’s new Emergency Paging System which was designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing system. 
In order to get the signal from building “A” to the new “K” building (over 2000ft), Village Sound Company enlisted the use of advanced fiber optic technology to maintain a clean line level feed to the new building.
Special care was taken to ensure that each room and stairwell of the new building were adequately covered for sound. Thus, Village Sound installed over 120 ceiling speakers and 7 horns throughout the building to achieve the level of coverage necessary to convey important information should an emergency arise.
